Revit / CAD Technician – MEP

Our business is growing and we’re looking to add a skilled Revit and CAD Technician to compliment the Northeast Infrastructure team. We’re interested in a technician who has knowledge of design principles and modern drafting technologies. The ideal candidate is capable of delivering accurate and detailed first-round drawings. Must use Revit and AutoCAD to accurately draw and design all aspects of the projects being developed for construction documentation. All disciplines will be included with this work description including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC. The majority of the work will be designed under the supervision of licensed professional engineers. Must be well organized, self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects at once. Proficient with multiple software programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare design development and construction documents
  • Collaborate with various levels of team members
  • Draft existing systems, as well as newly designed systems according to in-house professional engineers
  • Incorporate company design standards into work product
  • Related degree preferred, but not required

Electrical Technician

Our business is growing and we’re looking to add a skilled Electrical Technician to compliment the Northeast Infrastructure team. We’re interested in a technician who has knowledge of federal and state regulations as they apply to electrical equipment. The ideal candidate can stay current with safety measures and practices. Most of the work will be completed under the supervision of licensed professional engineers. Must be well organized, self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects at once.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complies with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in facilities and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
  • Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains high-speed, industrial process equipment and/or end making, power, lighting, control, and PLC logic controls for all production process and control equipment. This includes: all electrical power (24 to 600 volts), automation controllers, transducers, proximity sensors, and inspection devices.
  • Identifies inefficiencies and potential electrical problems and coordinates through supervisor to resolve.
  • Diagnoses causes of malfunctions and corrects through field measurements and programmable logic control software. Ensures efficient equipment operation through proper line control programming and proactively suggests methods to improve line performance.
  • Maintains effective communication and documentation through review of entries to daily logbooks, updates to wiring schematics, and computer program change forms, (whether maintained on paper or Microsoft Office formats), as well as shift turn over meetings.
  • Determines all supplies needed for each assignment.
  • Performs clean-up, painting, and housekeeping duties.
  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company. Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.

Data Entry and Verification

Our business is growing and we’re looking to add a data entry person to compliment the Northeast Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate is capable of delivering accurately compiled information, is computer savvy and has a keen eye for detail. The disciplines highlighted with this work include but are not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Must be well organized, self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects at once. The company will rely on you for having accurate and updated data that are easily accessible through a digital database.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare design development and construction documents
  • Responsible for compilation, production and shipment of physical drawings and deliverables for all project submissions
  • Collaborate with various levels of team members
  • Create spreadsheets with large quantities of figures without mistakes
  • Compile and verify information based on drawings, photos and notes
  • Update existing data
  • Sort and organize paperwork
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Incorporate company design standards into work product

Skills

  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Must be comfortable with Office Word and Excel
  • Related degree preferred, but not required
  • High school degree or equivalent

Plumbing Designer

Responsibilities/Experience

  • Plumbing calculations including water supply, waste, storm and equipment sizing.
  • Plumbing system design including sanitary waste, vent, storm, roof drainage, domestic cold and hot water distribution systems.
  • Medical systems design including medical gas, compressed air, vacuum and natural gas.
  • Plumbing equipment selection, sizing and specifications
  • Selection and specification of fire protection systems.

Competencies

  • Thoroughness in preparing drawings as dictated by specific client requirements
  • Organization
  • Working as a member of a project team

Travel

  • Travel is expected for this position, verifying existing field conditions to produce accurate building floor plans

Required Education and Experience

  • Degree or currently enrolled in a recognized CAD training or technical school

Preferred Experience

  • Construction experience a plus
